Tsangs Group Announces Hong Kong Ambassadors Club Strengthens Bilateral Ties and Advances Clean Energy Initiatives Through Gansu Delegation
Tsangs Group, as one of the founding members of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club (“HKAC”), is pleased to announce HKAC has successfully led a delegation to China’s north-western Gansu Province, an integral part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Shortly before the HKAC’s first anniversary of establishment, the delegation led by The Hon Jeffrey Lam, GBM, GBS, JP, Member of Legislative Council and Executive Council of Hong Kong SAR Government and Patrick Tsang, Chairman of Tsangs Group. In the capital Lanzhou, along the Yellow River, the delegation conferred with the local leaders, including Zhuang Guotai, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the Gansu Province, and discussed ways to boost foreign investments in the province, an industrial and renewable and sustainable energy stronghold, and global connectivity of the region.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between HKAC and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Gansu Province to promote bilateral business and investment among the regions of Gansu Province and the Middle East and Southeast Asia through Hong Kong as an international financial and innovation technology hub with the focus of industries of clean energy, advanced manufacturing, sustainability technologies, culture and tourism.
The delegation also visited the 7 MkW Photovoltaics Power Station of the China Resources Power Co., the Innovation and Science Centre in Lanzhou and Smart Manufacturing Base by Hailiang Group Co., one of the leading Chinese solar panel producers. Meetings were held with economic, social, and cultural department representatives.
“The Gansu Province has enormous potential in relation to tourism, trade, and renewable energy. HKAC is not dedicated to Hong Kong and countries abroad alone. It is a vehicle to foster relations with Mainland China. Our successful visit to Gansu Province and its capital, Lanzhou, proves that HKAC knows no boundaries.
