英語記事|パトリック・ツァン、アジア金融フォーラムのウェビナーシリーズで講演

Our Chairman, Patrick Tsang, spoke at the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) Webinar Series organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), on the topic of enabling recovery through resilient sustainability and responsible investment in June 2020.

Patrick had a great time discussing with Ms Sammie Leung, Climate and Sustainability Leader of PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong, and Ms Chaoni Huang, Head of Sustainable Capital Market, Global Markets Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas, and Vice President and Secretary General of Hong Kong Green Finance Association.

Patrick participated in an engaging conversation, exchanging ideas about the meaning of sustainability for businesses and how they can adopt sustainable practices in the long-term. He shared the values of Tsangs Group, its vision for positive influence and social impact through responsible investment and the adoption of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Tsangs Group is attempting to adhere to as many SDGs as possible. There are three goals in particular that we have successfully adopted, namely gender equality (Goal 5), reduced inequalities (Goal 10) and partnerships (Goal 17). We are proud to say 60% of our staff are female.

“I don’t think that the green movement has to be mutually exclusive to the economic recovery. We can’t sacrifice the green movement for lives and human lifestyle, but they don’t have to be separated, and they could cohabit.” – Patrick Tsang

“I have a lot to learn from Sammie and Chaoni, and we must unite to work together to create an ecosystem to promote green finance and investment in general, but especially in Hong Kong and Mainland China.” – Patrick Tsang

Special thanks for the invitation from the HKTDC and AFF for the opportunity.
